Office take-up in Katowice tops 26,500 sqm in H1

Office take-up in Katowice topped 26,500 sqm in the first six months of this year, accounting for 55 percent of the annual average between 2015 and 2019, according to Cresa. The lease volume in the second quarter totaled 6,140 sqm. Renegotiations accounted for the largest share of the leasing volume (64 percent), followed by new contracts (25 percent) and expansions (11 percent). At the end of the first half of the year, Katowice’s office stock totaled nearly 559,500 sqm, up 6 percent y-o-y. Only one office building was delivered to the Katowice market in the second quarter — DL Piano (11,500 sqm, DL Invest). The largest office deals in H1 included two pre-leases by Capgemini (11,000 sqm) and Honeywell (3,700 sqm) at the Face2Face B and a new lease signed by Sii at the .KTW I office building (3,100 sqm), according to Cresa.
