North Macedonia offers companies interest-free loans

The Development Bank Director Kire Naumov announced first phase of a financial assistance package that covers the most affected sectors of the economy in order to overcome liquidity problems. Micro, small and medium-sized companies active in the catering, tourism and freight traffic sectors can apply for interest-free loans of up to €30,000. These funds will be placed through the Development Bank of Northern Macedonia. Microfirms with a maximum of 10 employees are eligible for between €3,000 and €5,000 euros, while companies with 10 - 50 employees allowed to request up to €15,000 euros. Medium-sized companies with a maximum of 250 employees will be offered as much as €30,000. No interest will be charged on the loans, which can be paid back over the next two years beginning in nine months.
