Norinco International Corporation broke ground on a new wind farm in northern Croatia’s Brinje municipality. The Chinese company is planning to invest €160m in the project. The 156 MW wind farm will include 39 turbines. Croatian subcontractors will oversee part of the construction, with more than 100 people expected to be employed over the next two years. Norinco is also interested in developing major hydropower projects in Montenegro, according to a government spokesperson.
