The Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing plant in Nitra currently under construction has triggered a construction boom in the Slovak city. Hundreds of new flats are to be added to the local residential market in numerous projects, including Promenada Living Park, in which the private investor plans to offer 90 flats alongside a shopping and leisure center on the Nitra river bank. Other examples include Inpek, which is preparing construction of a 49-unit scheme called Nový Orbis, and Bratislava based R1 Properties’ plans to build 265 flats on a greenfield site. Another new residential zone is being planned along Hviezdoslavova street by H&G Invest, which held an architectural contest for 500-unit scheme. Meanwhile, NR Invest is turning the former Heineken brewery into a residential scheme with 175 flats, according to SITA.
