Ningbo Huaxiang to build Mercedes production plant in Brasov

Ningbo Huaxiang Electronic Co. Ltd. is planning to build a Mercedes automotive parts production facility in Brasov. The beneficiary of the $30m investment is the German-Romanian company Hib Rolem Trim. The new 15,000 sqm production facility will create 265 jobs in the Brasov area. Construction will start next year, with completion set for 2019.

"Under the new investment, parts and accessories for the automotive industry will be produced, consisting of decorative products for automotive interiors such as decorations for the dashboard, center console and doors ornaments for the carmaker Daimler (Mercedes), Class A and B,” the Romanian Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Environment Relationships wrote in a statement.
