New Serbian data center under construction worth €30m

In central Serbia, in Kragujevac started the construction works on a new state’s data center. This center will ensure security of important data for the state, economy and citizens, faster development of electronic administration and connection of databases. The facility will have 11,000sqm and its completion will be within 12 months. The estimated value of the investment in this center will be more than €30m. "This is the backup, Data recovery center, which will in fact be another security data dam," said Prime Minister Ana Brnabic at the official ceremony in Kragujevac. In this center will be employed a couple of hundred highly educated people from IT sector. At the ceremony were signed MOU with Microsoft, Oracle and Banka Postanska Stedionica. These are the first companies that will keep its data in this center.
