SZDC, the company that maintains the physical infrastructure of Czech Railways, has confirmed that it's reached an impasse with the developer Amadeus over a land deal in Prague 6. SZDC says it now needs the land to complete plans for a tunnel from the Veleslavin station and wants to cancel its commitment to sell it to Amadeus by 2030. The land deal was reached by agreement, reportedly without a public tender, with the previous leadership of SZDC. A SZDC spokeswoman said the response from Amadeus to calls for cancelling the contract has been that the company believes the contract gives it the legal security it needs to continue negotiations.
