The first phase of construction in the Czech Krkonoše mountain of Aldrov Apartments & Resort, a new luxury investment by the developer Crescon. A total of 64 flats will fill three separate buildings in time for the winter skiing season in 2021, but only 60 percent of them are still on sale. In all, a total of 12 buildings and 139 flats offering up-market hotel standard services will be built by 2022. Included in the first phase of construction will be a common building where residents and their guests will have access to a restaurant, a bakery, wine bar, a pool and a wellness center. The general contractor for the project, which is located in Vítkovice, near the Špindleruv Mlyn ski area, is VCES. Crescon director Jan Jerie says the project should be attractive for those interested in having both a weekend get-away as well as those looking for an effective investment. "We expect that the owner will visit several times per year," he says. "For the rest of the time, the apartment doesn't have to be just covered up, it's possible to rent it. The leasing and the maintenance of the property can be fully managed by the hotel service." He calculates that apartments that are occupied 50 percent of the year would produce income of around 120,000 per season.
