Prague's expanding international airport is due for continued change, with airport authorities now working on plans for the area in front of Terminal 2. A new so-called Skywalk will involve the construction of a 550 meter structure connecting the parking garage and the terminal. "New garages will become the basis for future parking services for travellers following a change to the traffic solution for the area in front of Terminal 2 and following its expansion," said Prague Airport's spokesman Roman Pacvoň. The new garages will be constructed between Terminal 2 and the Marriott hotel and the Airport Business Center. The airport is quickly running out of parking capacity, selling out completely on some days this summer. Decent public transport to the center would do wonders, of course, but the city hasn't been able to decide what to do even after two decades of "debate" so travellers will have to hope the airport can actually complete the new garages by 2023 as planned.
