Real estate prices in Montenegro have risen to the same levels as in numerous European cities, according to the newspaper Investitor. It writes that a single square meter of real estate can cost more than €5,000, depending on the location and its distance from the sea. In Budva, Tivat and Kotor, the price per sqm for the apartment runs from €1,500 to €5,000. Prices in Lustica Bay, Porto Montenegro (Tivat) and Portonovi (Herceg Novi) go for as much as €8,000 to €12,000 according to some news portals. Investitor writes that every third property in Montenegro is purchased by Serbs. Russians investors, previously the biggest buyers of residential real estate, have been replaced by the Turks, while French, Scandinavians, Israeli and American clients are also buying with increasing frequency.
