Mona broke ground on a new hotel in Belgrade. Mona Plaza Hotel is going up at the corner of Cara Urosa, Dracka and Solunska streets in the city’s Dorćol neighborhood. Construction is expected to take two years with costs estimated at €30m. The 20,000 sqm four-star hotel will feature 152 guest rooms on 13 floors, underground parking, two restaurants, a fitness center and a conference hall for more than 700 people. Mona is a family-run company that produces leather accessories, textiles and leather clothes. The company established Mona Hotel Management in 2011. The company operates several properties in the region, including Hotel Zlatibor Mona and an apartment complex in Budva, Montenegro.
