The Croatian Ministry of Defense is having a highrise built in Zagreb, with completion expected by the end of 2018. The building will provide a hotel with 89 rooms that are intended to be used by members of the armed forces and their guests as well as students from the Dr. Franjo Tudjman military school. The €6.3m project was designed by the Proarh architectural studio. Design and planning of the new building was made more complicated by the site, which is situated in the midst of buildings that date back to the Austro-Hungarian empire. The highrise is going up next to another similar facility and a third is to be built nearby as well.
