Merko to build Lidl logistics center in Riga

SIA Merks, part of AS Merko Ehitus, has signed a contract with SIA Lidl Latvija for the construction of a logistics center at Ulbrokas street in Riga. In addition to a warehouse, the site will include an adjacent administration building and supporting facilities. The total area of the logistics center will be around 47,000 sqm. Construction at the site will begin immediately, with completion scheduled for January 2020. The cost of the contract (excluding VAT) is reported to be €42.5m.
