Edge Central Development Partners was selected to oversee a new mixed-use scheme in St. Petersburg, Florida. Plans call for 100,000 sq ft of office space, the first major class A office buildings built in the city's downtown since 1990. The project, to go up on a site that used to house the St. Petersburg police station, will also include 60 for-sale condos, 30 workforce housing units, 22,000 sq ft of ground-level retail and 400 public parking spaces as part of a 600-space parking garage. The police department moved into a new $78.5m, 168,000 sq ft headquarters in March.
