JMH Development and Mettle Property Group broke ground on 36-20 Steinway Street, a 143-unit rental apartment scheme in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens, New York. The developers secured a $56m construction loan from Scale Lending. Once completed, the 158,000 sq ft mixed-use development will include 18,000 sq ft of retail and an on-site parking structure.

“We are excited about delivering a building that will be attractive to the young professionals, students and new families that continue to show great interest in living, working and playing in this thriving community,” said Jason Halpern, principal at JMH Development.
