Leoni investing €32m in new Bulgarian plant

Leoni is set to open a new plant in Pleven, northern Bulgaria, by 2020. The German cable and harnessing manufacturer, is investing €32m in the project. Construction is expected to cost €16m, while an additional €16m is earmark for equipment and machinery. The company is planning to employ 2,000 people at the location. Founded in 1917, Leoni operates in 31 countries and has production facilities in Serbia and Romania. Its global workforce exceeds 82,000 people.
