KFC opens first restaurant in Skopje, unveils expansion plans

KFC opened its first restaurant in Macedonia at the Skopje City Mall in the capital. The US ambassador to Macedonia, Jess Baily, as well as Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and the mayor of Skopje, Karpos Stefan Bogov, attended the opening. The American fast food chain is planning to invest €10m to open several restaurants around the country, creating about 400 new jobs. The owner of Macedonia’s KFC franchise is Fatmir Zymberi.
