Kaufland Romania is planning to open two new locations in Bucharest and Arad, bumping its network to 94 stores in the country. The German retailer has already opened three other locations this year and in 2013, added eight hypermarkets to the Romanian market. Kaufland said it intends to expand even further this year. Each store opening costs between €6m and €9m. Kaufland Romania posted a 20-percent increase in net profits in 2013. Its turnover also increased by 13 percent.
