Kaufland opens new hypermarket in Bucharest

German retailer Kaufland will open a new hypermarket next week in Bucharest’s Ferentari district. The store, which has a total area of over 13,000 sqm, including parking, is the 19th opened by the German company in Bucharest and 109th in Romania.
Construction work for the new store was launched in September 2015. Kaufland ended 2015 with turnover of €2.4bn, 13 percent more compared to 2014.
