John Deere is planning to build a logistics and distribution center in Sremska Mitrovica, northern Serbia. Construction is scheduled to break ground next year on a 2 ha plot in the North industrial zone next to the Belgrade-Zagreb motorway. The estimated value of the investment is between €5m and €6m. John Deer paid around €125,000 for the land. The agricultural machinery and tractor producer is not the only American company that’s active in the North industrial zone. Cooper Standard, which manufactures rubber and plastic parts for the auto industry, occupies 11,000 sq ft.
