James Long joins WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff's Washington, D.C. office has announced the hiring of James Long. In his new role, Long will be tasked with the managing of infrastructure, design and construction projects as the firm's senior supervising civil engineer. Long has more than 35 years of transportation and infrastructure experience on a wide range of complex projects in the D.C. metropolitan area. Prior to joining the company, Long was a principal with an engineering firm directing complex infrastructure and transportation projects.

A licensed professional engineer in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and New York, Long received an M.S. in public works engineering from George Washington University and an M.S. in engineering management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He also earned a B.S. in environmental and natural resource engineering from the State University of New York and a B.S. in general engineering from Syracuse University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
