Iulius, CCIR investing €2.87bn in Romexpo project

Iulius Company and the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are investing €2.87bn into the development of Romexpo in Bucharest. The project will spread over about 350,000 sqm and go up in stages and. Plans call for museums and a multifunctional event hall, a new park and green urban connections. The area will also include 12,000 parking spaces and retail and lifestyle space anda five-star hotel.

“Our constant efforts are aimed at consolidating and expanding the activity of Romexpo, which are the basis of this extensive investment approach. We want to include Romexpo in the international circuit, and we are convinced that the related functions will have the capacity not only to impose ourselves on the map of European attractions in the field but also to revitalize Bucharest socially, culturally and economically. A project of such importance requires the cooperation and involvement of the public and private environment, but also the support of the authorities and the community,” said Mihai Daraban, president of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
