The International Monetary Fund will open a regional office in Vienna to strengthen relations with North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania. The new office will be led by Stephanie Ebele, who is currently the head of the IMF mission for Kosovo. Ebele previously worked in Ukraine, Greece, Serbia and Bosnia. “This new office in Vienna will be an important part of our current relations with these four countries, because they are trying to join the European Union,” said Tao Zhang, deputy executive director of the IMF, following a meeting with the governor of the Austrian National Bank, Ewald Newer.
