IKEA is planning to open seven pick-up points for customers who live in Czech cities where it doesn't have stores. The cities are Hradec Králové, Karlovy Vary, České Budějovice, Pilsen, Ústí nad Labem, Liberec and Zlín. But it will also open non-stop pick-up lockers outside its two stores in Prague by the end of the year, allowing consumers to buy and take delivery of its products without stepping inside a store. At a recent press conference, the company also said it planned to become a completely 'circular' economy, meaning that it would be developing goods that could be used again or else recycled. IKEA currently has four stores in the Czech Republic which combined with on-line sales produced CZK 10.7bn in revenues in its financial year ending August 31.
