IKEA will be shutting down its pop-up store in the center of Prague by the end of August. The 800 sqm store served as more of a showroom than as a place to purchase furniture. More importantly, said the project's leader Peter Tichy, it was a way for the company to test the concept of a small-format location in the center of town. "The reaction of customers for us was extremely important and we adjusted the serves and the look of IKEA Point accordingly," he said. Beginning in September, the space on the lower half of Wenceslas Square will be taken over by a new tenant, Pytloun Boutique Hotel Prague.
