Hungary’s construction production up 1.7% in June

Production in the construction sector remained stable in the eurozone in June compared to the previous month, according to Eurostat, but fell by 0.3 percent across the European Union. In May, production decreased by 0.4 percent in the EU and by 0.5 percent in the eurozone. Meanwhile, production was up by 1 percent in the eurozone and by 0.6 percent y-o-y in the EU in June. Portugal, Slovenia and Romania reported the biggest decreases in production, while the highest increases were in Hungary (+1.7 percent), France (+1.2 percent) and the Czech Republic (+1 percent).
