Hungary ranks 10th in economic complexity report

Hungary was 10th in an economic complexity ranking conducted by Harvard’s Growth Lab. The ranking aims to make measuring and understanding a country’s economic complexity easier. The report cites cars and ICT products as Hungary’s main exported goods. Japan, Switzerland and South Korea ranks towards the top of the list. The Czech Republic comes in sixth, while Austria places seventh. Slovenia came in 11th, while Slovakia was 15th, followed by Poland (21st), Romania (24th) and Croatia (30th). Higher ranked countries usually export a higher diversity of sophisticated and unique products, according to the report.
