Hungarian construction output rises again in April

In Hungary the construction's sector output rose 40.1 percent in April, according to the Central Statistical Office. For the January-April period of 2019 output was up 45.8 percent y-o-y. The construction of building's segment of the market saw gains of 34.3 percent, mainly thanks to the construction of industrial facilities, homes and offices. Work on roads and railway projects increased the civil engineering's sector output by 47.9 percent. However, compared with March 2019, construction output fell 3.8 percent. In terms of volujme, April's output had a value of HUF 306.5bn, while in January-April it was HUF 1,084 billion. The volume of new orders fell 4.4 percent in April, while overall civil engineering orders fell 19 percent.
