HSBC Global Asset Management will start operating on the Romanian market. The British company will focus on consultancy and investment portfolio management, particularly those owned by pension funds. The move follows US company Franklin Templeton’s decision to enter the Romanian market, which is currently dominated by Erste and Raiffeisen. HSBC Global Asset Management has grown rapidly in the last seven years, doubling its assets under management.
