Hauni Hungaria €17.9m upgrade to tobacco machinery plant

Hauni is making plans to invest €17.9m into a tobacco machinery plant at its base in Pets, Hungary. The Hungarian government has pledged to support the investment with a €3m grant. Hauni will be hiring around 100 people and will continue with its development projects in Pecs. Completion of the investment, which includes new equipment to improve efficiency and capacity, is scheduled for 2020. Hauni Hungaria is a subsidiary of German Hauni Maschinenbau from Hamburg that was founded in Pecs in 1994.
