Gross wages in Hungary up 10.1% in August

The average gross monthly wage in Hungary was HUF 321,200 in August, up 10.1 percent y-o-y, according to the the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Gross earnings have been growing by double digits since early 2017, driven by an agreement on minimum wage increases and labor shortages. The average net monthly wage in Hungary was HUF 213,600, also up 10.1 percent, according to KSH.
