Four new hotels are scheduled to be delivered to the Bucharest market this year, adding 1,500 guest rooms to the city’s tourism sector. The new properties include Intercontinental’s Indigo and Corinthia Hotels International. Marriott, will also be expanding its portfolio with two hotels under its Courtyard and Autograph brands, according to Colliers International. Demand for rooms is expected to rise this year, which could place a downward pressure on prices, Colliers writes, adding, however, that prices should increase to align with rising construction and labor costs, which have jumped by 20 and 44 percent respectively over the last two years.
