First 5G base station launched in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian mobile operator A1 has launched 5G service in the country with the installation of a first base station. A1 recently received authorization from the Communications Regulations Commission to test out 5G network in applications bankwidths between 3440 and 3540 MHz. Bulgaria is the 50th country to test the 5G network. "We expect to start offering 5G services to our customers in 2020," said Krassimir Petrov of A1.
