After days of marathon negotiations, EU-27 leaders reached an agreement on a multi-year joint budget and a recovery fund. The total amount of the recovery package is €1.824 billion, of which 1.074 billion is within the joint budget for the period from 2021 to 2027.

The deal includes provisions worth €12.5 billion over seven years for pre-accession assistance for Serbia and other countries that are in the process of European integration. Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said Croatia would receive over €12.6 billion through the 7-year budget, plus €9.4 billion in additional funding and €5.9 billion in grants from the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
