To support the Serbian government's fight to contain the spread of coronavirus the EU will allocate €93.4m to Serbia. A total of €15m has been earmarked to combat COVID 19, with the remaining €78.4m to be used to mitigate the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic, according to the Tanjug news agency. In a letter sent to Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Enlargement Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi said the EC had been entrusted to allocated €15m for Serbia's most urgent needs and that it would consider providing another €20.8m from existing EU Integration Funds.
