Essex Europe building €30m factory in Serbia

Essex Europe is planning to invest €30.4m into a new factory in Zrenjanin, northern Serbia. The factory, currently underway on a 15,000 sqm plot, will manufacture copper and aluminum wires for transformers, electric engines and generators. Operations are expected to start later this year. The factory will have a staff of 150. Essex Europe is a subsidiary of Superior Essex, which is part of South Korea’s LS Group. The group has production facilities in the US, Mexico, Canada, China, Malaysia, France, the UK, Germany and Italy.
