Equinix opens second Bulgarian data center

The US company Equinix opened its second data center in Bulgaria. The company poured $19m into the new facility, which is located in Sofia. The new SO2 center is in Druzhba, 1km away from its first and will include the installation of 1,100 server cabinets. From these two centers the company will serve over 100 companies, including clients such as UniCredit, VMWare, cloud and network service providers and media companies. The California based company has over 9,800 customers worldwide including Coca Cola, Deloitte, Mazda, Dropbox, Facebook, SAP, and Oracle. Its first Bulgaria data center opened in 2010.
