A collection of construction experts have made recommendations to the Croatian government on how to enable work to proceed on-site during the COVID 19 crisis. The idea is to ensure work moves forward in particular on EU-funded infrastructure projects deemed crucial for the country's long-term economic future. The five professional organizations called on the governmetn to ensure that certified work on all public projects be paid immediately and to allow contractors to replace imported construction materials with domestic alternatives that can be arranged more quickly. The chambers also called for the establishment of a line of supply of strategic imported materials including reinforced steel, glass and aluminum.
