Encore Capital Management is launching its new mixed-use project in Plantation, FL called Plantation Walk. The $350 million scheme will become one of the largest live-work-play campuses in the country. Located on University Drive and north of Broward Boulevard, the 32-acre property will include 700 luxury apartments that are being placed under Encore’s The Rise apartment brand. Also included in the plans are 200,000 sqf of shop and dining space, new structured parking, an existing 263-key Sheraton Hotel along with a 160,000 sqf office building. Completion of the project is slated for summer 2018.

“We are thrilled with the proposed redevelopment of the Fashion Mall property. It is long overdue and one of the most eagerly anticipated projects in the city’s history,” said Plantation Mayor Diane Veltri Bendekovic. “Plantation is one of the few cities in Broward County that has shown consistent, year-over-year increases in property values and this will help increase our tax base and boost our economy even further. The jobs the project will bring to the city, both short-term and long, will have far-reaching effects upon other businesses in the area, further enhancing their bottom line as well.”
