EBRD: Bulgaria’s economy to grew by 3.4% in 2019

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is forecasting the Bulgarian economy will grow by 3.4 percent this year and by 3 percent in 2020. In 2018, the country’s economy grew by 3.1 percent, down from 3.8 percent the previous year, according to EBRD data. Private consumption and wages were up, while unemployment fell below 5 percent. Investments were up by 7 percent in 2018, and inflation averaged 2.6 percent.
