The Finance Minister of North Macedonia has announced that new public infrastructure investments worth about €30m will be getting underway in Bitola. These include construction on a new water treatment plant for the town of 113,000 that's scheduled to get underway by the end of 2019. Street improvements will also be undertaken as part of the improvements, with €21m of the total cost to be provided by the European Union through IPA funds. Roughly 9 kilometers will be added to the town's sewage network, while another 13 kilometers will be reconstruction, including the construction of new pre-pumping stations.
