Denik.cz writes that while the D3 motorway is quickly taking shape in Southern Bohemia, completion of the 60 kilometer stretch through Central Bohemia that still needs to be built is nowhere near completion. The Czech Highway Authority (RSD) has submitted its zoning permit documentation to the Central Bohemia region authorities but opponents of the project have already succeeded in putting up a roadblock. "Unfortunately, Central Bohemia was accused of being biased by participants in the process so the whole file is currently being packed up and sent to the Pilsen Region, which will be issuing the necessary exception," said RSD's director Jan Kroupa. Even once this is overcome, another problem could emerge thanks to a change to a tunnel to be built near Jilove u Prahy made to avoid a recreational area. The tunnel would be lengthened from 645 meters to 1843 meters, but more importantly, it may require a separate EIA to be carried out.
