The Czech Republic is the most sought after location for new brands looking to expand in Central and Eastern Europe. Cushman & Wakefield writes in a new report that of the 80 brands that entered the CEE region in 2018, 28 chose the Czech Republic. Poland saw the entrance of 26 new brands last year. Not surprisingly, Prague is main magnet when it comes to brands entering the Czech market. "Just as the number of new brands hasn't changed, their strategy for entering the CEE region is also similar. Prague continues to be the entrance gate," said Jan Kotrbáček, C&W's CEE head of retail. "It's a market that offers a very cosmopolitan environment and an excellent ratio of international tourists and local customers. Prague's a market where brands can see their path for success."
