Retail revenue growth fell to 2.9 percent in November, following 3.4 percent growth in October, according to the Czech Statistics Office. It writes that consumers spent less on non-food items, while on-line retail showed the highest level of growth (+7 percent). In general, non-food items showed consistently higher sales figures, a trend supported by recent salary inflation. However, the Czech News Agency reports that economists predict that the wind is going out of the sails of the economy. "Over the course of the year we expect that its dynamism will gradually weaken," said Komerční banka economist Jana Steckerová.
