Unemployment fell 0.2 percent in the third quarter of 2019 to 2.2 percent, spoiling the hopes of employes who had hoped that negative economic signals might take the pressure off of wages. On the other than, the Czech Statistics Office (CSU) writes that the number of people without work rose by 8,500 to 113,400. It also noted that there are more people (136,000) with two jobs than those without work. The total workforce is currently 5.3 million. The CSU counts people between the ages of 15 and 64 when assembling these figures, a method that's in conjunction with the one used by the International Labor Organization.
