CTP has bought 100 ha of wooded land near Mladá Boleslav with the intention of revitalizing and growing trees. The area has suffered a serious bark beetle infestation in recent times, something CTP hopes to counter by planting slow-growing, deciduous trees on the land. "We're constantly trying to improve the environment around us," said Remon Vos, CEO of CTP. "This step is a continuation of our activities from last year when we invested €2m into the renovation of CTParks across Central and Eastern Europe by planting new trees, bushes, flowers and gras. As for our woods near Mladá Boleslav, we want to rejuvenate this beautiful part of nature by planting trees and sharing in the long-term care of the natural environment in the area." CTP will expand these sorts of projects around the region in locations where it's built industrial properties. Its goal is to behave responsibly towards its neighboring communities and to reduce its overall carbon footprint.
