Croatian construction sector output dropped 4.7% in April

The volume of construction work in April fell 4.7 percent in April compared to a year before. Moreover, it was 1.9 percent below the level achieved in March of this year, according to provisional data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics-CBS. CBS reports that the volume of work performed on buildings in April fell 6.4 percent y-o-y and on other types of construction by 2.2 percent. On a month-to-month basis, the volume of construction work on buildings fell 3.8 percent. In April, 58.5 percent of construction site hours were spent on new construction while 41.5 percent was on reconstructions, repairs and maintenance.
