Corticeira Amorim buys out Elfverson to become sole owner

The Protuguese cork-producing Corticeira Amorim has bought the remaining 30 percent of Swedish-based Elfverson & Co. it didn't own yet to become the sole owner of the wood tops producer. Corticeira Amorim paid a reported €1.92m for the share in a deal that went through Amorim Bartop - Investimentos e Participações, S.A. Elfverson & Co has had its HQ in the city of Paryd since it left Kalmar in 1912. In the first quarter of this year, Corticeira Amorim reported revenues of €20m, 7 percent more than in the same period in 2019.
