Globalworth in partnership with Global Vision broke ground on Constanta Business Park. The €200m investment is being developed in several phases across 100 ha in the village of Lazu, near Constanta, and will be the biggest mixed-use project in Romania. It will offer 550,000 sqm of industrial, logistics, production, service and office space. The first phase, which is expected to be completed later this year, will include a 21,000 sqm logistics warehouse as well as access roads. The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2024.
“We chose to develop this project in Constanta, because we can offer future tenants a number of unique advantages thanks to its strategic location,” said Mihai Zaharia, director of investments and capital markets at Globalworth. “Constanta County benefits, above all, from the best infrastructure connectivity in Romania, with easy road and rail access, as well as access to maritime and river routes. In this respect, Constanta Business Park will become the best location for developing supply chain operations. Constanta is also the most urbanized county in Romania and is in the top five by the number of students and college graduates, offering its tenants access to a well-trained workforce.”
