Colliers International: 2019 - A Year of Transformation & Growth
2019 was a year of complete restructuring for Colliers International in the Czech Republic with the goal of setting up a complex, diversified and integrated platform of services that clients can benefit from. We have set up two new business lines “Design & Build” and “Retail Advisory” and in parallel have strengthened our “Industrial Agency”, “Workplace Advisory “, “Office Agency”, “Asset & Property Management”, “Valuation”, “Marketing & PR” and “Research”.
The Office Agency went through a reorganization to enable us serving both the Landlord Representation clients including brokerage as well as the Tenant Representation clients with dedicated people in both teams.
Additionally, we have also focused on redesigning and improving our digital tools, we relaunched our new and user-friendly intuitive company’s website and improved our property search engines “OfficeMap.cz” and “Warehousesmap.cz”.
To be able to fully support our plans we had to focus on our people and teams. Therefore, we have made sure to recruit some of the best and most experienced experts in the market. This resulted in growing our headcount by almost 60%, where we have attracted 30 new experienced people who enriched our company with skills, relationships and solid market knowledge.
Due to that growth in headcount we also had to expand our office space and we almost doubled the size of our offices. The entire office has been redesigned, two floors are newly connected by an internal staircase, which has been fully designed and delivered by our Design & Build team.
What makes us different? At Colliers we work in an entrepreneurial environment driven and focused on the business where we don’t get slowed down by corporate centralized silos or internal bureaucracies. We are more flexible, agile and focused on our clients and have the benefit of being more creative.
Our transactional achievements? To follow are a few selected examples from our investment team where we have intermediated the sale of the office building Crystal Vinohradska; the sale of a historic building on Celetna street in Prague and successfully advised METRO PROPERTIES on the largest transaction in Central Europe to date for 2019 being one of the largest sale and leaseback transactions in Europe. Overall in 2019, we will be almost doubling our revenues y-o-y and we will achieve a new record revenue for Colliers International in the Czech Republic for the past 15 years.
